Let Them Eat Cake Adds Even More Acts

The Werribee Mansion party added the cherry to the cake with their second round announcement…

There are few things that make Aussies prouder then seeing fellow Aussies put our great Aussie nation on the map. I’m talking Kathy Freeman at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, whichever genius invented Vegemite (fun fact, his name was Cyril P. Callister), and in more recent news, seeing sixteen Aussie-grown artists playing alongside some of the biggest names in the music industry at the upcoming Let Them Eat Cake Festival.

Another 16 artists have been added to the insanely good LTEC lineup, a lineup so grand it already features international heavyweights Peggy Gou, Bicep, and Midland. Ooft, it’s enough to make you cry. And although the first round lineup did include a couple of Aussie legends (eg. the ever so entertaining DJ Boring, and the poster child of Melbourne dance music CC:Disco!), this latest addition to the line-up has us fist-pumping the air like Judd Nelson in the last scene of The Breakfast Club, whilst simultaneously chanting “Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, Oi, Oi, Oi”.

So which lucky artists won the golden ticket you may ask?

Merve

She is mos def on the way up…

First up to be scheduled in to your New Years Day debauchery is Merve. This chicka is undoubtedly a key figure in Melbourne’s music scene. With regular sets at every key music event in Melbourne’s vicinity such as Golden Plains, Meredith, Strawberry Fields and Pitch, and having played alongside internationals such as The Black Madonna, and Honey Dijon, Merve is grand addition to Let Them Eat Cake 2019.

Love Deluxe

From Boiler Room to Werribee Mansion…

Of equal importance to the list is Love Deluxe, the Sydney-based producer and DJ whose debut EP in 2017 ‘Silk Mirage’ saw him join the label family Soothsayer and earned him a spot on the Sugar Mountain x Boiler Room Event earlier this year. If you haven’t heard his recent Let Them Eat Cake podcast as yet you should remedy that asap. He’s most certainly a deluxe addition to your New Years Day plans (pardon the pun).

Check the full lineup below, and grab tickets here. Go on, support your Aussie artists….
