Local Form: Retza

Melbourne favourite and All Day I Dream producer, Retza, chats about one of his favourite recent original productions...

'Earlier this year I put together a compilation of assorted tracks. It contained music from the past couple of years that I wrote which I couldn’t find a place for, or I procrastinated with and it fell out of favour. I’m sure this is the case with many other artists across all platforms, but I find it is quite the inner struggle to finally deem something finished.'

''The Sky Is Yellow' my favourite track from the compilation. By the time I have released my music I usually can’t stand it, mainly because I have listened to it 5000 times over, but for some reason I can still enjoy this one without it bringing on some sort of mixdown anxiety attack.'

'Don’t mind the track title, it has no deeper meaning - or does it?

Collection of music I have created over the past couple years that I never got around to releasing due to laziness, insecurity and other circumstances completely in my control.

Catch Retza at the Chi Wow Wah Town Festival launch on the 1st of September at Rubix Warehouse and Tetris Studios
