Opiuo Teams Up With CloZee for Headline Shows

The Kiwi bass-music favourite and France’s first lady of dance will be joined by The librarian and Mad zach for the ride…

After Opiuo's Syzygy World(ish) Tour 2018 brought his unique live/band take on his signature, funkadelic bass to his adopted home of Australia, there has been no stopping him. From headline shows in New York, Los Angeles and a raved-about and raved-at show at the infamous Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado, Opiuo has spent much of the past few years on tour around the world. He has just dropped a taste of what to expect from his new live sets, with the aptly-titled new single "Send It" taken from his upcoming Syzygy 02 project.

CloZee's last year has been no quieter than her co-headliner. From behind the decks, this producer has commanded the dance floors from Coachella, Lightning in a Bottle, Dour Festival and Lollapalooza. Thanks to her surprising mixing style of powerful basslines, percussions, world instruments and cinematic sounds, her debut album "Evasion" is just about to hit 40 million streams. When she’s not on the road the artist named Chloe Herry, puts her suitcases in Toulouse, France, where she grew up and made her debut in music.

The support acts in both Melbourne and Sydney will be Mad Zach and The Librarian, who in recent times played a dark and driving set to much acclaim at 2016's Let Them Eat Cake Festival.

The Librarian

The former has a dark and heavy style, lying at the intersection of hip hop, glitch, dub and trap. His most recent EP, Quantum Shock, features collaborations with G Jones and Sayer. Mad Zach's live sets fuse the elements of controllerism, finger drumming, and DJing into one. Andrea Graham, better known by her stage name The Librarian, is a celebrated Canadian DJ, producer, and curator. She is also the co-founder and music director of Bass Coast Music Festival, voted as DJ Mag’s Boutique Festival of the Year for 2019. As a DJ, Andrea's sets move through bass music, dubstep, grime, footwork, jungle, drum and bass and more, tying the diverse genres together with fluid mixing. There really is a lot to like here.
