Daniel Avery Stands Under The Tallest Arch
The Phantasy artist follows his 2018 LP with a collection of B-sides and remixes…
It’s always a good day when Phantasy announces news of future releases. It’s even more glorious when that news contains upcoming music from Daniel Avery.
Following on from his vast 'Song For Alpha' LP, released exactly a year ago, Avery will now release a collection of B-sides and remixes. The release will showcase music from the ‘Song for Alpha’ studio sessions alongside reworks from the ‘most vital underground producers in the world’. If you think that is hyperbole, stop fretting, with artists such as Four Tet, HAAi, Jon Hopkins, Luke Slater and more they mean business.
As a teaser for the LP, Avery has release new single ‘Under The Tallest Arch’, a combustion engine of piston breaks that borders on industrial techno layered with reverb-drenched melodies. And the accompanying video from Avery collaborator Tom Andrew captures the mood perfectly.
With the techno lord's upcoming Australian tour which includes shows at Pitch Music and Arts Festival and Revolver, the timing could not be any better….
