You would be hard pressed to walk into a Melbourne club which doesn’t feature Dan Bentley on their lineup…

It was the beloved club Survivor that led him to discover his passion for disco, house and techno music, a love which has led to him supporting some of the world’s best including Four Tet, Seth Troxler, Sasha, Motor City Drum Ensemble and a list of other acts as impressive as the ones mentioned before. He is a recurring guest performer at the annual Strawberry Fields festival (he’s had the privilege of opening the Wildlands Stage for the last two years), and have also graced the stages of other festivals which include Pitch Music & Arts. Ahead of his set a the upcoming Revolver Sundays featuring Detroit Swindle, we asked Dan to chat some tunes with us….

Current: Johnwaynes - 1002 nights

‘In my opinion, this is one of those timeless deep house tracks that I’ve been getting away with playing for the past 5 years. This song always creeps back into the recent playlists, and I think the main reason for me is because I love tracks that are unique whenever I listen to this song it always takes me away to ancient Egypt.’

Classic: x visitors - the planet doesn’t mind

‘So my childhood consisted of listening to music mostly while skateboarding and I think that’s why I will always have a soft spot for hip-hop, funk and disco. I always sneak one or two of these type of songs into my sets. Here is one of the biggest gems I have on wax. Enjoy this track that was released in 1983’
