A revered selector, radio host and label founder of Hessle Audio, Ben Thompson (AKA Ben UFO) will step foot on Australian soil for the first time in roughly two years. His cool, calm and collected nature behind the decks marginally reflects his punch-packing musical repertoire — a diverse combination of everything from UK garage to broken electro beats to four-by-four, heavy bass groovers. 

This will be the follow-up to a packed Revolver in what was an impressive exhibition of high-octane and intelligent jams back in 2018. If you can’t make his four-hour showcase at Pitch Music & Arts Festival on Labour Day Monday, then you CANNOT miss this one. 

Since his last Cage appearance, Thompson has raised eyebrows around the globe with multiple iconic performances — most namely his Dekmantle Boiler Room Clinic in August last year. With a unique ability to “make the experimental accessible” as Crack Magazine wrote, an extra sweaty Revs dance floor will be channeled to an uncommon yet spectacular musical dimension.
