IT HAS BEEN TWO YEARS SINCE BICEP HAVE RELEASED NEW MUSIC…

Take yourself back, to a time when we could venture out beyond the confines of necessity, to a place of freedom for gatherings, parties, the cinema and events. That was the time when ‘Atlas’ was born:

“It would’ve been unthinkable to foresee the circumstances this track would be released in when we were making it. Our frame of mind was so positive, fresh off the back of our Live tour, full of excitement for the next phase.” Bicep

And you can feel it. Upon listening to ‘Atlas’ you’re transported to a place of memory.

A drenched vocal leads the charge with a trademark drum loop that pulls Bicep into frame, the pads and lead shortly follow and into the void you go. In essence ‘Atlas’ feels quite closely related to ‘Glue’, but effortlessly holds its own. It’s familiar but isn’t repeating the past, instead, it’s reminiscing while looking toward the future, positioning itself as the perfect transition for the next stage of Bicep.

If you’ve seen Bicep Live you’ll know Andrew Ferguson and Matthew McBrair deliver something more than a club show, dance party, or rave. They manipulate electronic sound which stimulates euphoria and bliss, a feeling that has been encapsulated perfectly in their new single.

While you enjoy ‘Atlas’, you can also enjoy this; Novel have just teased an Australian tour is in the works – post COVID-19 of course.
