If you’re new to Berlin-based Ombra INTL, let me show you around. First and foremost, all their releases are compilations featuring various artists from all over the globe, and each one often features a mixture of tracks well suited for outside and inside the club. Think variety: live instruments, slow bpm, growling synths, and a sudden urge to strip your car of all its paint, smash in the windows, install a roll cage, attach flame throwers to your giant new bull bar and take her for a spin down Fury Road.
Label-boss Curses’ signature flavour is easily recognisable in every release - and Ombra INTL 015 is no different. The latest feature cuts from Günce Aci, Blaues Einhorn, ALF CHAMPION, Robert E. Livingood and Daniel Monaco & Futuristant. Each track stands stylistically alone but when paired together stands in complete unity with the rest of its comrades. All in all, a wild ride into the belly of a beast. Honourable mentions go to Günce Aci for the slamming ‘Extent’ and ALF CHAMPION for the stomping ‘Non est Rediens’.
