NEWS: Eris Drew Releases Debut Album 'Quivering In Time'

‘Quivering In Time’ is a stunning debut album, perfect for all your post-lockdown listening…

Eris Drew. The GOAT. Known by her supporters as the high-priestess. You’d be hard-pressed finding any lover of modern dance music not well versed with her stunning catalogue. Like a true artisté, Eris utilised the global pandemic as an opportunity to retreat into the woods and write music. The result is a stunning debut album, titled ‘Quivering In Time’, and it deserves 100% of your attention.

The album which has been released on her imprint label T4T LUV NRG, which she co-runs with Octo Octa, is a nine-track excursion into her signature brand of house music. It’s house music that lends itself to breakbeat, UKG, experimental, and techno. It’s house music that tips its hat to all the feels you feel on the dance floor. And it’s created lovingly with the kind of finesse only showcased by someone who has spent decades in the game, and who knows the function and origins of house music. If you ask Eris how to distinguish the specific stylings of her own music, she’d call it Motherbeat - a genre her dedicated followers have hailed her for creating for a long time.

Originally hailing from Chicago, you can hear the influence of the cities long-standing house music legacy within her own works. Featuring soulful 90s influenced vocal cuts, stabbing piano chords, gritty overdriven drum patterns and an overwhelmingly optimistic feeling to it, it’s the perfect album to soundtrack our re-entry into a somewhat normal world.

The entire project was recorded and mixed from a small cottage in the woods in New Hampshire. The same cottage in which she streamed her recent wholesome Boiler Room showcase. Cute as. Vinyl lovers may have left it too late because all pressings have already sold out online! Grab a digital copy here, and immerse yourself in the unparalleled stylings of one Eris Drew.
