FORM 007: Expo 88
Expo 88 is a Meanjin/Brisbane based composer and producer who create atmospheric beats. He recently self-released his debut Refractions EP, a dark and driving exploration into a more solitary side of the composer. Fusing string sections with pulsing electronic drums and a bending saw bass, we called it ‘a singular sound that feels comfortingly familiar.’ On this mix, the Queenslander showcases a lighter side which moves effortlessly between airy electronica and breezy house.
