Apparat drops new single ahead of new LP to be released in May…

There aren’t many who don’t have a soft spot for the yearning sounds of Apparat. Over the years, the front man for the now defunct Moderat has shown he’s not scared to tap into those darker parts of his psyche to find inspiration. (It would take a tough human to not feel affected by his 2007 LP ‘Walls’)

The man, known to the law as Sascha Ring, has announced his return with a new single called ‘DAWAN’, a very organic workout awash with searing melodies, Apparat’s infecting vocals and skippy drum programming. To be honest all sounds a little bit like something you might find on a Radiohead album a la King of Limbs period - and we mean that in a good way. Check the video for the first single below and make up your own mind.

The single is the first track to be taken from his upcoming album ‘LP5’ which is to be released through Mute this coming May. EXCITING.
