Caly Jandro Announce New EP Launch
It is all set to go down this Saturday….
Local imprint Beat & Path created a nice niche for itself through an organic approach to electronic music. Now that might sound like a paradox -electronic vs organic- but a trademark in a lot of their releases are live-recorded instrumentation contextualised for electronic dance music. (Also, it is a law of nature that those going off the beaten path creatively will be rewarded with much karma.✨).
For their 26th release they’ve tapped local artist Caly Jandro. He is no stranger to the production studio, and his But One Word EP will be his third outing on Beat & Path. It is a delicious and very musical ride through spoken word, slinky beats, mysterious blow instruments, off-tune guitars, deep strings, laughing mermaids and the sound of cuddling sea horses. (I’m pretty sure I heard those last two sounds). And if you still need to be convinced, maybe the remix from label boss Uone and local legend Jamie Stevens might do the trick. In one word: Sexy.
