If you peered into your crystal ball to enquire who might be next to shake up the techno snow globe it’s looking increasingly clear it is Schacke.

The producer from Copenhagen is doing something that is hard to achieve: putting a fresh new spin on 4/4 techno. Last year’s ‘Kisloty People’ was an exciting concoction equal parts manga pop as it was underground. When you hear it for the first time neon will spray from your speakers.

His latest might even be better. ‘Role Modelling’ Takes EVERYTHING good from the last 30 years of electronic music and condense it into a sleek 6:30 seconds of exhilaration. It’s big and unrelenting, and you can feel the sweat fly in your face. It’s that exact moment when you start seeing double, and you have to take time out from the dancefloor to sit down.
