NEWS: Red Axes Announce New Album

Their third full-length album might just be their the most anticipated release yet…

Finally, some good news! It’s been ten years since the world got introduced to the loose psychedelics sounds of Dori Sadovnik and Niv Arzi AKA Red Axes. And in that time they’ve become not only one of the most sought-after acts around the globe but one of our personal favourites too. They sound like what would happen if two dudes grew up on a remote island with instruments they don’t know how to play, but through sheer determination and time managed to use it in ways that no one ever thought could work.

We last covered them via their incredible Vietnam-inspired release ‘Ho Chi Minh’, a fun deep house excursion that sounds like it required a logistics manager to pull together. Now they've announced the release of a new self-titled album on the Dark Entries imprint which will be an ’11-track LP brimming with jagged guitars, spacy arpeggios, and hypnotic vocals’. This will be the first time they’ve written a collection of tracks intending to produce a full-length LP, and we CANNOT WAIT.

Check the first single below, and while we wait for the May 8th release date, go and revisit ‘Ballad of Ice‘, their EXCELLENT debut LP released in 2014.
