Moodymann rejoice. The Detroit-based musical prodigy has announced he will be releasing a brand new project titled ‘DEMOS, CASSETTES, ADATS & FLOPPIES PT​.​1 ‘ on his own imprint label KDJ records, due for release on October 2nd.

The news comes hot off the tail from releasing his highly lauded album ‘Taken Away’ earlier this year. Kenny Dixon Jr aka Moodymann is undoubtedly considered one of the world’s most renowned and prolific artists. Boasting a decades-long career, notable works from the Detroit artist aligns him with the warm and soulful sample-based house sounds and fellow Detroit alumni, Theo Parrish, Larry Heard, and Carl Craig.

His latest projects debut track ‘TiredOfLookin4UTime4U2ComeLookin4Me’ does not fall too far from the tree, already showcasing the rich, vintage sounds, organic percussion and subby kick drums he has become synonymous with.
