There is no God If this isn’t one of the biggest tracks of the upcoming Australian Summer…

The Australian dance floors is perfectly poised for that one song which is set to soundtrack many upcoming memories this Summer. Past recipients that come to mind would be DJ Koze’s take on ‘Operator Please’, or Fatima Yamaha’s ‘What’s A Girl To Do’, both tracks ubiquitous when they eventually took off.

If you like to have a punt, now is the time to place a good bet on Kasper Marott’s disco tech number 'Keflavik’. If Giorgio Moroder woke up with a spring in his step he would conjure up this beat - the energy and purpose are undeniable. The sharp Moog basslines and synths crash into each other like icebergs, but listen closely: in between those impact points lies shards of a melody that will burrow itself into your head like a good habit. On the first listen it might not unleash its full power to you, but give it time and let it marinate, each listen unfold 'Keflavik's' charms just a little bit until it eventually pummels you into blissful submission. It’s more than delightful: It’s magical. If this track were water, I would bathe in it all day long.

Kasper Marott ‘Keflavik’ EP is out now through Seilscheibenpfeiler.
