The cruisy production features vocals from Panama…

The best way to work through an Australian winter is to sink yourself into summer-inflected tunes, and not many can make you feel that faux 30 degree tan more than Germany’s Satin Jackets. His name alone evokes the smell of sweat and hot disco nights. He produce the sort of music that is uploaded to Youtube with evocative pictures of a semi-naked females or just a picture of *insert random faceless model’s* bottom, a kinda ‘Headless Women of Hollywood’ for the millennial generation (and we’re definitely not talking about Majestic Casual). But I digress…

Point here is Satin Jackets create good times, and he can translate that vibe into music. Just check his recently released, and aptly-named sophomore album ‘Solar Nights’. Released on the legendary Eskimo Recordings, it once again hits all the right notes. One of the album’s biggest tracks is ‘Automatic’ which features the vocal stylings of Australian and Future Classic artist Panama. To honour Panama’s involvement, Eskimo have decided to keep things Down Under with a selection of remixes from local producers, one of those tapped being The Oddness.

The original number breathes summer, but somehow The Oddness turns the original into your older brother’s cool friend who always arrives at your house with fashionable sunglasses and a smooth haircut. The kinda guy that, even though he is the local bad boy, your parents always enquire about affectionately. It’s a classy nu-disco workout that should spread sunshine over Antarctica.

We’ve already implored you as to why we think now is the time to invest in the producer, and if you did, that investment is starting to look pretty fucking nice. Another tick then next to one of Melbourne’s most underrated producers.
